A random visit by Judy to a local flower shop in 1990 brought forth the creation of an exciting business endeavor. Judy's casual conversation with the floral shop owner about a need for a knowledgeable travel agency in their community brought forth the formation of Judy and Maria's Travel, Inc. and the development of Judy and Maria's Travel Reviews.
It was on that day in 1990 that Judy was introduced to Maria, the daughter of the floral shop owner and an educated traveler. Working together they developed a strategic plan to open a travel business that would be focused on educating and offering consumers quality, value-added travel destinations and resorts. Judy and Maria’s family members had serious doubts about their planned endeavor. All underestimated the driving force and motivation behind these two women. With sheer determination, long hours, tears and laughter, failure and success, Judy and Maria built, brick-by-brick, a strong foundation for their business. Generating a high level of energy, focus, fun, and enthusiasm, their business has matured. Their strategies are innovative and exciting. The two soon realized that specialization, good service, ethical business practices, respect for each other and their clients, education, and maintaining positive attitudes would be the backbone of their business. Judy and Maria’s distinct vision, along with being utterly determined to be the best at what they do, took them to the next level, developing two distinct internet sites, (1) www.jmtravel.com and (2) www.judyandmariastravel.com. Through self-education they discovered how to target and implement key sales strategies within the marketplace along with realizing and understanding the consumer's needs. The two websites have gained a large following with web-browsers worldwide. Judy and Maria’s client-base is international. Little did they realize when they started their business that they would develop global friendships and associations. Their most prestigious accomplishment was an invitation to the home of the ex-prime minister of Spain who is the owner of many hotels around the globe. The invitation was graciously accepted. Judy and Maria’s desire to focus and excel, yet place significant limits on growth, along with their distinct vision has enabled them to achieve remarkable ends. The core and soul of their business grew out of developed relationships with suppliers, hoteliers, customers, employees and friends. Call it fate, or just plain good old-fashioned timing, their chance encounter would bring to fruition a focused business relationship enabling them to grow and to gain recognition within the travel industry as a small giant, a company that chose to be great instead of big.
