The Iberostar Bavaro shines. On our visit we clearly noticed a brilliant maturity that has enveloped this fine property. The artwork, iron work in the chandeliers and sculptures, the fine woods, the spectacular polished marble, the huge lagoon pools, the warmth and smiles of the Dominican staff, along with the hotel being situated on one of the most breathtaking white sand beaches in Punta Cana make one’s vacation at this property truly memorable. The Iberostar Bavaro Resort is situated along an immense stretch of beautiful white sand beach, dotted with swaying tropical palms and bordering along warm turquoise waters. There is direct access to the beach, with an exciting variety of water sports and shaded palapas.
Accommodations
588 junior suites
Bungalow style Junior Suite accommodations and offer guests an attractive and spacious garden view suite with a sunken living room. Recently remodeled junior suites have two double beds or one king bed, bathroom, hair dryer, in-room mini-bar, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, sittling area and balcony or patio.
Note: Families of 5 may share a room with existing bedding (two adults and three children ages twelve and under. The family of 5 rooms are capacity controlled and sell out fast.
Pools
You`ll enjoy the true meaning of paradise within the cool waters of the fantastic lake-style free form swimming pool, surrounded by towering palms, complete with a comfortable swim-up bar. There is also a separate pool area just for kids.
Iberostar Bavaro All-Inclusive Program
Features include all-Inclusive service 11:00 AM until 11:00 PM, a state of the art beachfront gym, nightly shows, and a disco. Guests have access to themed events, shops and more at the nearby Caribbean Street, as well as a casino at the Iberostar Dominicana.

Golf
There is an 18 and a 9 hole course with driving range, pro-shop, rental equipment and golf academy (tee times between 8 am and 3 pm) locasted at the Melia Cocotal Golf and Country Club. The 18-hole course measures 7285 yards from the Gold, 6855 from the Blue and 6448 from the White.

Long trousers are required in the specialty restaurants. There is a coupon system for the ala carte restaurants: 3-4 nights= 1 ala carte visits and 5-7 nights = 3 ala carte visits. Reservations are required.
We strolled along Caribbean Street, which offered numerous shops including novelty, souvenir, dive store, jewelry store, a spa with Jacuzzi, and an open-air gym overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The buildings were very colorful – pastels in pink and yellow.
Men must wear long pants for dinner and reservations required for ala carte restaurants. Room safes are $2.00/day. A la Carte restrictions: 1 reservation for 3-4 nts, 3 reservations 5-7 nights. Spring break policy: Must be 20 years or older

There is a small air-conditioned casino located at the Iberostar Dominicana. We played the slot machines every evening -- machines open from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM, tables from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Ages 18 and older. Note: The bar in the casino is not included in the all-inclusive plan.
Disco
The Disco "DC-6" is located between the Dominicana and Punta Cana. It is fun – even if you just watch the action. You enter the disco through the plane. The DJ sits high above the disco floor in the DC-6 cockpit and the bar is made from the plane’s wing. The disco is air conditioned and cool.
For the Kids
Lucy’s MiniClub provides games and kindergarten supervised by the entertainment team for children ages 4 to 12 years old. It is open from 10:00 am to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

Hassle-Free Diving
The Diving Center is right on the beach of your Iberostar Hotel. No overland transportation is needed. The Iberostar properties on Cozumel and Playa Paraiso also have private jetties for the Iberostar dive boats.
The diving equipment can be rinsed, dried and stored safely at the dive center, so you won't have to drag it to your room after every dive. The dive center can also provide you with state-of-the-art rental equipment, should you prefer to travel light.
All of the Diving and snorkeling excursions, to the most fascinating sites in the area, leave from the hotel. On these excursions your needs are catered to with the same high quality service you find everywhere else in the Iberostar Hotels, guaranteed!
Fun and Exciting Dives
