Dreams Resorts:  Cancun

"Returned rested and pleased from Dreams in Cancun last week and just wanted to extend a heart-felt thank you.

Although we have traveled rather extensively in the Caribbean, this was our first all-inclusive resort. We researched many choices before settling on Dreams. It was the right choice for us. First, the size of Dreams is ideal.  It never felt crowded despite being sold out. The service was outstanding.  And the architecture lends itself so well to the surrounds. All but one restaurant -- the buffet -- is open-air and most of the resort has clear  line-of-sight from one place to another. Without asking, we were upgraded to a tower room with turn-down service included (which left us a nightly  long-stem red rose and a different chubby mariachi figurine (my husband now  has a group of four on his desk...and I have three on mine...a simple, but pleasant reminder)). And the food was much better than expected: Certainly not the 5-star quality of a restaurant, but better than the cruise food we've had on Celebrity, Princess and RCI. And what's more: We never got  bored with it (also, 24-hour room service was efficient and tasty...we often  ended up with a late afternoon lunch via room service rather than the  buffet). Of course, different folks will be drawn to different resorts, but  for us -- mid-30s, professional, no kids, fairly well traveled and looking  for a bargain -- Dreams was a perfect fit. Apple  -- both the flight crew  and the transfer folks -- also made our trip a pleasure."

" I just wanted to let you know that we just returned late last night from Dreams in Puerto Vallarta.  We almost switched hotels at the last minute because we were concerned about the amount of construction there.  It’s true that there was quite a bit of construction, but this is such a class operation, that it really didn’t affect us. The food is delicious, the waiters were literally tripping over themselves to serve us, the property is the most beautiful in all of Puerto Vallarta.  Certainly the beach is the nicest.    I don’t have one thing to complain about."

Dreams Resorts:  Tulum

"I couldn't wait to let you know about our trip to the Dreams® Resort in Tulum.  We just returned yesterday and I haven't stopped crying yet.  We all wanted to stay for at least another week or more! Over the last 20 years I have been to Cancun and the Riviera Maya about 25 times and have stayed at more than 10 different resorts ranging from 4 Apples to 6 Apples.  The Dreams® Resort in Tulum is by far my favorite. This resort captures the soul of old Mexico while providing all of the modern conveniences we seem to need these days. We arrived at the resort at 11:30 in the morning, and were checked in in a matter of minutes.  Our rooms were not immediately available, but that wasn't a problem because we had bathing suits in our carry on bags.  We had a place to change and went right to the beach, soaked up a little sun then enjoyed lunch at the Mexican restaurant.

And what a beach!!!!!  Plenty of Palapas and palms for shade, and wonderfully comfortable lounge chairs, and fresh white beach towels.  The beach is the most beautiful I've seen in all of my trips.  Perfect for both swimming and snorkeling.  This was the best snorkeling beach I've ever been to.  We saw more beautiful fish and sting rays than you would see on most paid "Snorkeling Excursions"!   Our rooms were perfect.  We had a beautiful platter of fresh fruit, a bottle of red wine and a wonderful note from the general manager "Welcoming us home  to the Dreams®".  The king size bed was comfortable, there was plenty of  room for our clothes and luggage, good reception on the cable TV, great size  bath room and even the hair dryer worked to perfection. The refrigerator was restocked every day with bottled water, juice, beer and sodas. We ate at all of the restaurants; Mexican, Italian, Asian, and the buffet.  Still can't decide which is my favorite.  The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.

I was surprised to find top shelf liquor at all of the bars.  We had  delicious tropical drinks and great cold beer.

All of the staff I met were hardworking, happy and very friendly.  To find  that combination of attributes is rare.

Hope to return to the Dreams® early next year.  Thanks for the recommendation."

"Just thought I would update you on our vacations.  We had a wonderful time at the Dreams® Resort in Tulum.  The food, drink, beach and service were outstanding.  We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, people tending to go off site, better for us, we never had a problem getting a chair.  I think they would be better off if they had you make reservations for dinner, we noticed they were more accommodating to tables for 2 as to tables for 4.  The wait was typically an hour if you arrived around 7:30 pm.  The restaurants are small but the food was great. Jason and Jennifer had an equally wonderful time at Secrets Capri.  They said they liked it better than Sandals in Jamaica.  Thank you so much for making our vacations special.  I look forward to working with you next winter.  Please be on the lookout for a good spot in either Mexico or Punta Cana."
