Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa is, in our opinion, all about sophistication, pampering, warmth and relaxation with a touch of fun and activity for everyone! We, Judy and Maria, have visited Dreams Punta Cana many times since opening as Sunscape The Beach Resort and Spa. As a Sunscape Resort we were always receptive to this lovely hotel. We have watched this hotel grow and have always said it should be a Dreams Resort category which it now is. Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa has matured and grown so much over the past couple of years! As we walked the grounds we made note of the palms and greenery which have grown into the size of the palms in the movie “Jurassic Park.”

We, Judy and Maria, firmly believe that a hotel is only as good as the management team in place. If the team is receptive to change and has respect for one another and exudes the excitement to excel, along with being in tune to corporate goals, the hotel will be great. As Americans traveling in the Dominican Republic, we immediately note the subtle touches that enable our visit(s) to be comfortabl
e and enable a home-away-from-home atmosphere (we are spoiled).. This is very important to both of us. Simple things that one does not realize -- like washcloths in the rooms, soft music when entering the room, familiar comfort foods for adults and the children, internet service, American brand beer, ice in drinks, and amenities to suit even the most discerning traveler. One may say they don’t care, but these touches are very important in making your vacation stress free and relaxing! We care! Guests will find this home-away-from-home atmosphere at Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa!
The new manag
ement team under the direction of General Manager, Mr. Yann Le Guillou, is, in our opinion, elevating Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa into a top-level Unlimited Luxury hotel. Mr. Le Guillou’s background management is in food and beverage service. Mr. LeGuillou’s previous experience included such fine hotels as Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun, Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa, Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa and Dreams Los Cabos Resort and Spa. He is known as “the fixer” and he does that very well and to the best of his ability. His studies have taken him around the globe including Paris, the islands of Micronesia, through the Caribbean, and to the deserts of Northern Africa. Mr. Le Guillou has what it takes to make this hotel great. We commented to ourselves that he is “Chef Gordon Ramsey from the television show Hell’s Kitchen!” This hotel, Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa is his baby and he wants the cuisine correct and his way! His persona is a real plus for the hotel, his team, and most importantly for you as vacationers! It is wonderful to see pride and confidence in a person. Congratulations and welcome to Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa, Mr. Yann Le Guillou!
