Judy and Maria's First Impression of the Valentin Imperial Maya

As we arrived at the entrance to the Valentin Imperial Maya Resort we were impressed by how the grounds were so green, colorful, and tropical. There was a sense of peacefulness with the sounds and colors of the hotel. Prior to entering the lobby we noted the Mexican Hacienda-styled décor in the tiled floors and sculptures. Upon entering the reception area of the lobby we noted the polished marble flooring, the large, black iron chandelier, the dark wood reception desks, the Spanish-style dark wood and light fabric furniture, and the focal point of the lobby, the organ pipes mounted high above the reception desks. The resort, in our opinion, is very impressive. It is all about luxury, nature, and adults seclusion.

About Playa del Secreto

Inviting crystal clear Caribbean waters and powder white sand fringe Playa del Secreto, the most beautiful beach in the area. The beach stretches over a mile along the blue ocean, with only a dozen upscale homes dotted along the water's edge. Wild mangrove and freshwater pools attract beautiful birds, and a healthy reef is home to spectacular tropical Caribbean sea life.

The tranquil beach is just 30 minutes from Cancun and 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen, making it the perfect central point for exploring Mexico’s attractions, world class diving, sports fishing and more.

Playa del Secreto means "Secret Beach" in Spanish. The Mexican Government is committed to preserving Playa del Secreto as a peaceful, tranquil, private location by controlling growth and development of the beach.

From May to October, giant 300 lb. sea turtles arrive at Playa del Secreto each year to lay their eggs. Each night as many as 10 new nests can be found on the Playa del Secreto beach. You may sit in the sand next to these wonderful creatures and watch as they lay their eggs and then walk with them as they return to the sea. It is an experience of a lifetime!
