Judy and Maria's First Impression of the Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach & Colonial Beach Resort

Our first impression as we entered into the lobbyof the Barcelo Maya Tropical and Colonial was that of  fresh,clean, and inviting resorts.  We noted many fine touches within the lobby.  The floors were of polished marble and there were numerous Mexican influences in the architecture, artwork and sculptures strategically placed within the lobby.  We noticed sparkling glass tables with spectacular fresh flower arrangements and the sounds of flowing water from the fountains.  We experienced an immediate sense of relaxation, along with the excitement of the opportunity to tour Barceló’s newest hotels in the Mayan Riviera.

The hotels are the two new magnificent 5 Star all-inclusive hotels, part of the complex Barceló Maya Resort which offer 952 guest rooms in total. 

Features 476 Colonial style guest rooms:  420 standard rooms, 50 Junior Suites, 4 Suites and 2 Master Suites. 

476 Contemporary Mexican style guest rooms with same room distribution.

In closing, the Barcelo Maya Tropical and Colonial Resorts are wonderful vacation options for everyone! These hotels offer guests the option of doing everything or just doing nothing at all! The hotels, in our opinion, are quality, value-added, well-designed hotels featuring impressive grounds, air conditioned restaurants, extensive white sand beach, huge pools, a water park for children, numerous dining options and large, and accommodations that afford guests all the comforts of home.
